The Count Baischy Swingtett swings casually through the songbook of American standards, except that the classics made famous by legends such as Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Nat King Cole have been translated into German by Roland Baisch - a wise decision, considering that Roland Baisch and Günther Öttinger had the same English teacher!

The singer, comedian and entertainer Roland Baisch manages to stroll down a show staircase in style without falling down, and his fabulous trio with Frank Wekenmann, Thilo Wagner and Veit Hübner effortlessly conjures up a big band sound, earning him the name "Count Baischy Swingtett"!

Roland Baisch (vocals & guitar)
The entertainer and comedian can look back on an eventful career. He has toured the world with his comedy groups and has appeared as an actor in many formats. He currently lives out his elegant side with the Count Baischy Swingtett.

Thilo Wagner (Piano)
Thilo Wagner is one of the best swing pianists in Europe. Since Mr. Wagner also has a great sense of humor, he fits perfectly into the Swingtett. According to the author Martin Kunzler, with him "the German scene once again has a swing pianist of distinction".

Frank Wekenmann (guitar & musical direction)
It is no secret that Mr. Wekenmann, a virtuoso swing guitarist, is also one of the best world musicians and rock stars. He has been accompanying Mr. Baisch in his comedy programs for 20 years and has also passed his diploma as the funniest "side kick" with flying colors.

Veith Hübner (double bass)
Bassist Veit Hübner is an integral part of the German music scene. Whether jazz, world music or comedy - Mr. Hübner integrates himself playfully into any formation. The fact that the sons of Mr. Hübner and Mr. Baisch also play together in a band cannot be a coincidence.

The event is seated with free choice of seats. In case of bad weather, the event will take place in the Renitenztheater. The decision as to whether we play outdoors or indoors is always made in the afternoon of the day of the event with the corresponding weather forecast for the evening. In any case, we recommend bringing warm clothing or a blanket, as the air can be cool in the evening.
