Le sourire perdu au Louvre

It's hard to believe, but even in the supposedly calm atmosphere of a museum, there's all sorts of commotion. Just as the sculptures on display at the world’s largest museum, the Louvre, get on the visitors’ nerves, the security technicians are also frustrated by the lack of those extra 30 seconds they need to ensure the safety of the artworks. Visitors go around in circles, forgetting one thing: the art. Hard to believe, but they fail to notice that the world’s most famous smile is no longer there. “What happened to the Mona Lisa’s smile?” But perhaps it’s not even about that one particular smile at all—but rather about me and the person across from me, and about mutual recognition.
