The SWR Symphony Orchestra plays works by György Ligeti, Carl Maria von Weber and Johannes Brahms at the Wizemann under the direction of Antoine Tamestit
Antoine Tamestit plays the viola and conducts the SWR Symphony Orchestra. Together they will perform works by György Ligeti ("Old Hungarian Ballroom Dances"), Carl Maria von Weber (Andante e Rondo ungarese for viola and orchestra) and Johannes Brahms (Serenade No. 2 in A major op. 16)
Duration: approx. 90 minutes. Recommended from grade 8. Teaching materials for selected concerts are available free of charge on moodle 6 weeks before the concert. For interested school classes and visitor groups of 10 or more, we offer pre-concert talks with members of the orchestra; please register at musikvermittlung@SWR.de.
