For many years, Martin Engelmann's great passion has been to travel creatively with his camera to the most beautiful places of power on earth. The photographer and filmmaker, author and speaker from Innsbruck gives around 100 lectures a year to up to 1,800 visitors and is now our guest for the second time. In 2010, Martin Engelmann was commissioned by the renowned weekly magazine "DIE ZEIT" to photograph a reportage about South Tyrol. His journey through the majestic Dolomites awakens memories of a magical childhood and unforgettable family vacations on the Italian Adriatic. In the years that followed, he set off to Italy in search of traces of the places he longed for as a child and to discover new regions. It was the birth of a year-long photo and film project about his personal land of longing, Italy. His multimedia presentation paints an opulent picture of one of the most beautiful countries in the world. The result is an ode to the humanity, diversity and beauty that unites us all when we ask ourselves what it really means to seek and find Italy.
