Russian kebab with potato salad
Comedy, cabaret and music.
What happens when an optimistic physics teacher and a depressive musician meet in a Buddhist sect in the Soviet Union and get married on April 1st?
The April Fool's joke lasts 40 years, gives Liza Kos and her siblings their lives and ends in divorce on Valentine's Day. Really true!
They were looking for God, but found Christianity.
As a child, Liza Kos is therefore very devout and determined to become the mother of God, but the plan doesn't work out: Jesus has already been born and already has a mother. So she has to go to school after all.
As a teenager, she moves to Germany with her parents and tries to integrate, but what is German anyway?
Liza sometimes tries on a headscarf, sometimes a dance mariechen costume.
She learns Turkish and German and, many kebabs and sausages later, feels like a multi-cultural flat-sharing community in which a Russian, a Turkish and a German woman live together, not only differing and arguing, but also enriching and complementing each other.
After all, cohesion is important when you only share one body.
The new solo program is musical, pointed and versatile.
Liza Kos speaks, sings, plays guitar, multiple roles and with clichés.
The press writes enthusiastically:
"Her outstanding vocal skills form the framework for her lyrics, which always take aim at everyday problems between cultures with a wink."
"Her verbal wit is clever, light-footed and used with pinpoint accuracy, her flair for deliberately delayed and surprising punchlines is excellent." General Anzeiger
