Lyrische Welten

Location:
Kultur- und Kongresszentrum Liederhalle, Berliner Platz 1-3, 70174 Stuttgart

In February, the Klassische Philharmonie Bonn with soloist David Aaron Carpenter and conductor Vladimir Fanshil - two absolute audience favorites from the past season - invites you into lyrical worlds. Richard Wagner composed Siegfried Idyll as a birthday serenade for his wife Cosima - premiered in a private stairwell! One of the most beautiful instrumental concertos of the Romantic period is the cello concerto by the British composer Edward Elgar, which can be experienced here in a version for viola. The evening ends on a cheerful and picturesque note with Mendelssohn's lively and life-affirming Symphony No. 4 - the "Italian".
