Folk leads you everywhere - performance at Café Nachbar

In the beginning, there were only two of them - two musicians from the south, united by their love of music. Mike "Mac" McCarthy, a native of Cork, Ireland, inspires with his guitar, mandolin and vocals. Bertram "Bes" Schleicher from Stuttgart-Hofen completes the duo with his guitar and voice. They were brought together by 's Dudelsäckle, the joy of making music and a shared passion for folk - especially the sounds of the Emerald Isle.

But the duo became a band: Alois Wimmer from Austria enriches the sound with his double bass, while Axel Hege from Stuttgart-Gaisburg provides rhythmic depth with bodhrán, blues harp and more.

Their repertoire ranges from traditional to modern folk - mainly from Ireland, but Scotland and other Celtic influences are not neglected either. They also venture on musical excursions across the pond, incorporating blues, bluegrass, country and hillbilly into their program. The result: a varied, captivating sound that makes the hearts of folk fans beat faster.
