Marie Luise Ritter - The search for home
Do you know it too? That idea of "oh, to have lived in Paris once in my life...". That quiet longing that suddenly comes when you're sitting in a foreign place, espresso in hand, and you feel: I could live here. I could be at home here.
But what does that actually mean - being at home somewhere? Is it the place where we grew up? Or one that we have yet to find?
In a time full of possibilities, we are constantly searching: for fulfillment, for ourselves, for people who support us and for our place in the world. At the same time, and perhaps precisely because everything seems possible, we long for something stable. For a place that holds us. A feeling that lasts.
In "The Search for Home", Marie Luise Ritter takes us on a personal journey - a summer in Paris, right in the middle of questions that move us all. Where do we belong? What makes us feel at home? And what do we bring with us to feel connected?
An honest, warm book about longing, connectedness and the courage to set out on a search - for the place where we belong.
