As an actress and speaker, Marleen Lohse (Nord bei Nordwest, Die Kinder vom Alstertal) loves to slip into different roles. As a singer, however, she gets very personal on her debut album. She will be performing the songs from it live on stage on her headline tour "Wide Awake" in 2026.

The album "Wide Awake" is a warm, atmospherically dense work with indie charm and pop appeal that follows Marleen Lohse's own life story closely, but above all celebrates the poetry of omission. In the wonderfully intimate minimal pop songs, she sings about love without love, about the big feelings in delicate details. The spotlight is dimmed here - to make room for stories that shine brightly even in the faintest glimmer.

Marleen Lohse, who sings as well as playing guitar and ukulele, has already gained her first experience as a musician with guitarist Julius Hartog as part of the duo Unsereins. She also performed the cover song "Wonderful Life" for the feature film Cleo, in which she played the lead role.

Together with musician and producer Andi Fins (Cäthe, Moritz Krämer, Juli Gilde) and producer Henrik Menzel (Udo Lindenberg, Till Brönner, Sasha), Lohse has now recorded her debut album "Wide Awake", which will be released on October 24, 2025 via Wagram Stories Berlin. "Losing Sight", the first single from the album, has already been heard on radio stations such as SWR 3, NDR 2, MDR Jump and Deutschlandfunk Kultur and has secured a place in the top 100 of the radio charts.
