They've done it again: MAYBEBOP present their fifth Christmas show, Schöner Schein. And it's amazing what the four of them are still able to bring to the festive season and how fresh and unspent it still works on stage after more than 20 years in the band!

With Schöner Schein, alongside newly interpreted classics such as Carol of the Bells, Die Nacht ist vorgedrungen and the lively Heidschi Bumbeidschi, many of their own German songs once again open up new perspectives on the holy night: The tragicomic tango Der Tod des Weihnachtsmannes and the touching Was ich besaß deal in very different ways with the belief in the man with the beard, the energetic folk-rock Die Ballade vom Fanta-Klaus tells of a surprising encounter with the same man, the pointed Weihnachtsträumereien look behind the façade of many a Christmas idyll and Immergrün, sung from the perspective of a fir tree, is recommended as a compulsory piece in every standard dance class. The undisputed highlight is clearly the German rap parody KNG of LightZ, in which it is made clear who has the hut with the highest bling-bling factor: Grandiosely funny and stylistically on point.

The vocal band once again underpins its exceptional status: the Christmas program Schöner Schein is bursting with ideas, is as virtuoso as it is down-to-earth and surprises live, with its usual stylistic confidence and sophisticated light and sound show, complemented by a smart and charming video performance.
