The fact that the current album marks the beginning of a brand new chapter is unmistakable: Inspired by Stanley Kubrick's cult film "A Clockwork Orange" and largely freed from song-structural constraints, the Austrian band gives free rein to their musical imagination with the most festive jams and dance floor sweeps. Their fifth studio album, entitled "Ultrabliss", combines elements of psychedelia, classic, kraut and prog rock as well as funk on nine extremely varied tracks, which should please fans of JIMI HENDRIX and PINK FLOYD just as much as fans of the RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS or British indie icons such as FRANZ FERDINAND, the ARCTIC MONKEYS and KASABIAN. And a song like "Poor Boy" can also come with a bass attack, as currently perfected by post-punks like the IDLES. The thieving joy of musical Easter eggs in the form of sonic references to other songs and artists always resonates throughout.
