Mozart Dances

Location:
Domkirche St. Eberhard, Königstraße 7a, 70173 Stuttgart

On Sunday, November 15, 2026, at 7:00 p.m., a very special cathedral music event titled “Mozart Dances” will take place at St. Eberhard Cathedral. The church will be transformed into a dance hall. A prayer expressed through dance. Under the professional guidance of dancer and choreographer Friederike Rademann—whose impressive choreographies are already well-known in Stuttgart—the concert choir of the Mädchenkantorei will perform W. A. Mozart’s famous Requiem as part of the “Bach bewegt” series (Internationale Bachakademie), together with the St. Eberhard Cathedral Choir and the Stuttgart Chamber Orchestra, they will perform W. A. Mozart’s famous Requiem. The girls will not only sing along with the adult choir, but they will also move to the music.
It offers a completely new perspective on this significant work in music history, which is rounded out in the concert by P. Hindemith’s “Trauermusik,” A. Pärt’s meditative choral work “Da pacem,” and a choral improvisation.
