Mulle - schwäbische Hardrockband aus Stuttgart

Location:
Kulturkneipe INTUS, Griegstrasse 18, 70195 STUTTGART

Mulle - a Swabian hard rock band from Stuttgart

Think the Swabian dialect and hard rock don’t mix? This loud trio from Stuttgart proves they can scrape riffs off the strings just as skillfully as they can scrape Spätzle off the “Spatzabrett.”

True to the motto: “Emmer uff d’r Schädl nuff”!

What happens when you mix crisp riffs à la AC/DC with the verbal punch of the Swabian dialect?

The result is a unique musical ride through Swabian clichés—from “d’r Kehrwoch” to “Muggabadscher”—rock-infused Swabian power with extremely high entertainment value—that’s what the band Mulle stands for! Of course, the band’s name is also drawn from the vast treasure trove of the Swabian lexicon: “Mulle” is the Swabian word for cat or kitten.

But anyone who assumes this cute name means soft, watered-down cover songs is way off the mark. When Mulle takes the stage, their original hard rock “omd Ohra romghaua” the audience! At their live concerts (since 2006), the band regularly brings Stuttgart and the surrounding region to a boil.

With a twinkle in their eyes and a passion for the Swabian dialect, they perform their songs in an easy-to-understand local dialect for both “locals and outsiders”—complete with drum rolls, catchy melodies, and crisp riffs.

From Swabian culinary specialties that are a challenge “for the palate” and the beloved Viertele, to relationship issues and clichés about rocker life on tour—they cover it all.
