The pianist Ragna Schirmer has been highly acclaimed by concert audiences and critics for many years. Her interpretations are characterized by the art of nuance and a love of detail in the search for hidden historical and contemporary references. The multi-award-winning pianist's recordings now comprise 17 CDs, one vinyl release and two DVDs. The artist's dramaturgical and programmatic skills are evident in her unusual projects. She not only demonstrates this in moderated piano recitals, but can also be seen in cross-genre theater productions written and staged especially for her. At the Beethoven Festival, she will consequently be performing music by and about the Viennese classical composer.
