New Year's Concert Goldberg Variations

The historic atmosphere of the bright and noble White Hall in the New Palace in Stuttgart provides the perfect stage for this concert and underlines the beauty and spiritual grandeur of the composition.
The Aria with 30 variations was named the "Goldberg Variations" according to a legend. Johann Sebastian Bach composed them in 1741 and counted them among the "piano exercises" which, despite the title, are among his most important works. They demand extremely virtuoso technique and the full range of expressive possibilities from the players.
The young and multi-award-winning concert pianist Sophia Weidemann has all this and musical depth. She already proved this with the Goldberg Variations in 2023, when she passed her concert exam with distinction. She has now recorded the mighty work on two CDs for Genuin.
You can welcome the New Year 2026 in a very special way with this extraordinary concert!
