Michael Lutz and his girlfriend Barbara Holstein have been spending their vacation on Isola Piccola, a small island between Sicily and Corsica, for two years now. The beautiful stewardess has set herself an ultimatum: if he doesn't propose to her again this time, they will part ways forever. The carefree engineer pursues his hobby - fishing - from dawn to dusk, leaving little time for his young girlfriend. Barbara has had enough of Michael and his scaly prey and packs her bags. She doesn't do him the favor of coming back to him on her knees. Pasta manufacturer Keyser, who has just arrived with daughter Marion and son-in-law-to-be Thomas Steffen, is happy to give her shelter - especially as the trio have no idea about camping. Michael stages a supposed robbery to get back at Barbara. Unfortunately, he hasn't reckoned with Gina, the police chief's wife, who has made similar plans and makes the "travel group's" stay more exciting than desired.
