Pat Bianchi from New York is considered a modern representative of the Hammond B3 organ. He is a unique and creative voice that honors tradition and brings the instrument into the modern age.
He has played in the bands of Pat Martino, Lou Donaldson, Ralph Peterson Jr. and Chuck Loeb, among others. He has also performed with Red Holloway, George Coleman, Terell Stafford, Dakota Staton and Steely Dan. His mastery of the instrument, his harmonic ability, his rhythmic intensity and his versatility are unsurpassed. This quartet features Joe Magnarelli, one of the world's leading jazz trumpeters, who has played with Brother Jack McDuff, the Lionel Hampton Big Band and the Vanguard Jazz Orchestra, among others.
The quartet is completed by tenor saxophonist Piero Odorici and drummer Bernd Reiter, two top European musicians who have accompanied many jazz legends such as Bob Berg, Lee Konitz, Harold Mabern and Steve Grossman.
This quartet presents "Organ Grooves & Souljazz at its best" with a lot of energy and spirit!
Line-up: Pat Bianchi (B3); Joe Magnarelli (trp); Kirk MacDonald(tsax); Bernd Reiter (dr)
