In 2026, we will be showing the 1928 spy thriller "Spies" by Fritz Lang (one of his last silent films, shot in black and white like all the others).

However, the film only becomes an impressive overall experience through the organ improvisations with which experienced organists accompany the scenes and reflect the respective mood. This is partly due to the skill of the organists and partly to the Walcker organ, which is known as a great romantic concert organ - far beyond Stuttgart's borders.

Drinks and snacks are available during the breaks (change of reels) and after the movie.

The "Organ Cinema in St. Mark's Church" has existed since 2008 and has taken place once a year during the darker months of the year. The program always includes a classic from the silent film era, which is projected onto the big screen using a 35mm projector. The dialog is usually inserted into the film as text panels.
