Reading and talk with Didi Drobna

Moderation: Silke Arning | Live drawing: Hanna Wenzel | Didi hasn't spoken to her father for years. Then he suddenly contacts her and asks for help: he is seriously ill. Didi takes over at the hospital because her father still speaks little German. She hardly speaks any Slovak. And in the days that follow, she learns more about herself and him than in all the years before. About pride and missed opportunities, about her family, migration and hope, about herself as a daughter and him as a father. It is a tentative, once again unspoken rapprochement in which it becomes increasingly clear what unites them despite all their differences: their Eastern Bloc hearts.
