The Pete Roth Trio consists of bandleader and guitarist Pete Roth, Mike Pratt on bass and Bill Bruford on drums. The band creates jazz for a new generation of music lovers, pushing the boundaries of traditional jazz conventions.
A jazz standard only wants to unfold its full essence in the final moments of a performance. Roth's own compositions such as "Dancing with Grace", the trio's collaborative works such as "Trio in Five" and "Looking Forward to Looking Back" or their reinterpretation of masterpieces such as Antonín Dvořák's "Largo from Symphony No. 9" open up just some of the creative worlds of the Pete Roth Trio, a musical journey that redefines the boundaries of what a guitar trio can achieve.
