Fascinating interplay between French and German in a highly acclaimed production by Theater La Lune based on a novel by Gaël Faye.
The play deals with young people growing up in a politically unstable environment characterized by violence. The play not only shows the harrowing reality of Burundi, but also points to universal issues such as migration as a global phenomenon, the responsibility of the international community in conflicts and interculturality as an opportunity.
The special feature of the production is the constant alternation between French and German, the play from the perspective of a student learning French and skillful role changes in a reduced stage set.
The impressive effect of the production is regularly confirmed during the subsequent audience discussion with the actors.
Duration: 70-minute theater performance in French and German.
Followed by an audience discussion with the actors. Total duration approx. 90 minutes.
