The Music of Jarrett and Garbarek This evening, the PRISM Ensemble of the Stuttgart University of Music presents songs from the bandbook of the American jazz pianist and composer Keith Jarrett.
The focus will be on the music of his legendary 'European Quartet' with saxophonist Jan Garbarek, bassist Palle Danielsson and drummer Jon Christensen, which had a decisive influence on the development of modern jazz from the mid-1970s onwards.
The students of the jazz studies course approach this music from a contemporary perspective and interpret it in their very own way. Prepare yourself for an exciting and varied jazz evening that combines energetic emotional outbursts with heart-warming sounds.
