The Musikwerk's open choir has been meeting on Tuesdays at the Stadtpalais for more than 5 years. Around 100 people come along spontaneously or regularly, take notebooks from the pile and just get started.
The Musikwerk's open choir has been meeting at the Stadtpalais on Tuesdays for more than 5 years. Around 100 people come along spontaneously or regularly, take notebooks from the pile and just get started. Choir director Arnd Pohlmann succeeds in guiding beginners and long-time choir singers to a cheerful four-part pop choir singing every time. Since last year, numerous instrumentalists from the choir's own ranks have also joined in. Pop songs by Taylor Swift, Queen, Billie Eilish, Dua Lipa, Beatles, Oasis, The Cure, Spin Doctors, Fanta 4, .... are sung in four voices
With its three ensembles, Musikwerk Stuttgart has become a choral home for many Stuttgart residents. The Musikwerk Pop-Chor cultivates sophisticated a cappella songs and won first prize at the German Choir Festival in 2022.
