ProgMotion: Flying Circus & The Ancestry Program - Co-Headline Show

The summit meeting of the two hottest insider tips in German prog rock at the moment! This double concert brings together "Flying Circus" and "The Ancestry Program" (TAP), two bands from the west of Germany and Munich, both of whom consciously orientate themselves on the greats from the classic era of the genre, i.e. the 70s, but skilfully transport their artistically sophisticated approach into the here and now.

So it's no wonder that both bands are appearing more and more frequently on the relevant festival bills and have even shared the stage with industry greats such as RPWL, Kraan, Lazuli and Rosalie Cunningham (in May at the "Ancestry Prog Fest"). Trade magazines such as eclipsed, Empire Music, ROCKS and Good Times also rave about both bands, as do the notoriously strict "Babyblaue Seiten". For example, TAP were described there as "one of the best German prog bands", while Flying Circus were certified as "perfectly fulfilling" the ambitious task they had set themselves of expanding the energy of classic and hard rock of the 70s with the characteristics of progressive rock.

Despite audible borrowings from bands such as King Crimson, Pink Floyd, Gentle Giant, Rush, Kansas, Rush, Yes or Jethro Tull, both bands do not see themselves as retro acts, but as musicians who carry their formative influences in their DNA, but reassemble these genes into fresh, exciting and independent rock music.
