Requiem von Karl Jenkins

Anniversary concert with the Requiem by Karl Jenkins and other impressive works of sacred choral music, performed by the Kreuzchor Stuttgart.

At the center of this special anniversary concert evening is the "Requiem" by Welsh composer Karl Jenkins, a work that combines classical requiem texts with Far Eastern sounds and thus builds a musical bridge between cultures. The program is complemented by the solemn "Laudate Dominum" by W. A. Mozart, works by John Rutter and a world premiere, all impressive works of sacred choral music that range in their diversity from meditative depth to festive splendour.
The evening also marks a special anniversary: 30 years of district church music! For this reason, former singers are also expected to attend this concert to celebrate and make music together.
Performers: soprano Ulrike Kristina Haerter, the Kreuzchor Hedelfingen and an instrumental ensemble. Conductor: KMD Manuela Nägele.
Tickets at € 20, reduced € 15 for schoolchildren and students at the box office.
