Susanne M. Riedel writes stories, Lukas Meister writes songs.
In their first joint program, the Berlin cabaret stars embark on a search for the good moments and present the sparkling finds of their expedition with optimistic defiance, loving melancholy and spirited humour.
They read and sing, sometimes in one voice, sometimes in two, with piano, guitar or on their own. With fine powers of observation and brute kindness, they hit the quiet notes as well as the core of the comedy.
Solo they are already special, together they are a sensation.
Lukas Meister: Lukas Meister is a singer-songwriter, and what a singer-songwriter he is - because you have to be able to do that first: sing about an uncertain future with serene melancholy, tell of love and light, and then the next moment stand on the Kudamm in Simon & Garfunkel style and proclaim spring.
Susanne M. Riedel: In humorous short stories, she romps between the climate crisis and menopause, feminism and fairy dust, parties and package inserts: Susanne M. Riedel is an author, columnist and expert on cheerful wilting. As Blume von Steglitz, she is one of the shining lights of the Berlin reading stage scene and is also a member of the furious women's quartet Textbomben.
