Robert Gromotka & Jonas Hain | Between us Tour 2026
Why do we leave our familiar spaces? Why do we open up, risk vulnerability - and what do we achieve when we do? Between Us is an album about what lies between people: Trust and mistrust, intimacy and fear, conversations and silence. Anyone who gets involved will not only encounter the stories of two composers, but also themselves.
What remains when the music has faded away? Perhaps a feeling that lingers - like after a conversation that poses more questions than answers. The music asks: What lies between us? What separates us - and what connects us? Piano (Hain/Gromotka), cello (Felicitas Conrad) and violin Gabriele Kienast (violin) meet on stage.Jonas Hain from Munich moved between electronic beats and classical melancholy at an early age. His path led from the clubs to the sound world of the piano. With "Solopiano" and "Weißes Rauschen" he created fragile music inspired by Chopin and Satie.
Robert Gromotka from Berlin comes from a different musical world: flute, double bass, bands, film music. His works are reduced, melodic, clear - like Glass or Pärt.
After the concert in Berlin's Colosseum last fall, visitors reported that many had tears in their eyes - not because the music was sad, but because it touched something that has become rare: the experience of really meeting another person in sound.
