ORSO Rock Symphony Night
With an exciting musical mix of rock and pop culture and 19th/20th century symphonic music, film music and opera literature, musicals, jazz and soul, the ORSO Rock Symphony Orchestra has been unique for more than a quarter of a century now. The Rock Symphony Orchestra is a huge ensemble consisting of a 130-piece symphony orchestra, rock band, large mixed choir and a wide variety of soloists. You can hear spectacular songs - specially arranged by Wolfgang Roese for the large orchestra of the ORSO - by legends such as Led Zeppelin, Queen, Aerosmith, David Bowie, Supertramp, The Rolling Stones, Deep Purple, George Michael, Elton John and many more! With over 200 performers, the crossover section of the ORSO is also known as the "biggest band in the world". None of the ORSO concerts to date - classical or "rock" - have ever ended without a standing ovation. Under the passionate direction of founder Wolfgang Roese, the choir and orchestra in a large Mahler line-up, together with the rock band and a wide variety of soloists, sweep the audience off their feet with their joy of playing and celebrate the fusion of so-called "E and U music".
