The young Frenchman Stéphane (Romain Duris) travels through wintry Romania in search of the singer Nova Luca (Mónika Juhász Miczura).
With the help of an old Roma named Izidor (Izidor Serban), he arrives in a village where he meets the beautiful Roma Sabina (Rona Hartner). Stéphane is sure that Izidor will lead him to Nova Luca when the time is right.
