The Kunstmuseum Stuttgart is presenting the first solo exhibition of the graphic artist Romane Holderried Kaesdorf (1922-2007). Over the course of five decades, she created an idiosyncratic, humorous oeuvre that consciously opposed post-war abstraction. On display is a representative cross-section of surreal scenes, drawings of men and women and late, reduced series. The exhibition reveals the stylistic development and unmistakable visual language of this important artist.
