"Roots of the People - Stories of Ancestral Memories."

It is a performance of stories - a living ritual in which music, dance and traditional knowledge come together. The sounds that Felipe Duarte creates are inspired by his journey of reconnecting with indigenous traditions. He was accompanied by various elders who shared their teachings with him and encouraged him to pass them on through his work. Felipe Duarte combines ancient rhythms, modern textures and profound questions: What does it mean to be human? What is the law of the origin of life? How can we live in harmony with nature again?

In this performance, dancer and choreographer Marianne Illig brings movement to the music - she lets the body speak alongside the sound and brings these stories to life not only through voice and instruments, but also through dance. Together with a team for visual arts and projections, we create a piece in which music and dance enter into a dialog - in a space that creates a mystical, ceremonial atmosphere.

At the heart of this vision is also a call to consciousness - to honor and protect our waters and natural ecosystems.
The performance contains a message inspired by the spirit of nature and is intended to inspire reflection on how we treat our rivers, forests and the living earth.
