SAAL FREI Festival - Fluid Dynamics

The improvisation platform SAAL FREI invites you to a very special real-time composition festival in public space. On 30.05. there will be a free long-term performance from 4-8 pm on Stuttgart's market square, on 29 and 30.05. there will be a dance workshop for adults at the Produktionszentrum Tanz + Performance.

On the long weekend of May 29 and 30, the improvisation platform SAAL FREI invites you to a very special real-time composition festival in public space. For the first time, the festival entitled "Fluid Dynamics" will take place outdoors and is dedicated to the vital element of water - as the source of life, cultural symbol and challenge of our time.

The highlight of the festival is a four-hour performance on Fri, May 30 from 4 to 8 pm on the market square at Stuttgart City Hall. Artists from various disciplines will interpret water in a creative, playful and thought-provoking way - also with regard to current climate policy issues.

Words, images and sounds artistically describe the fluidly changing qualities of water between stillness and movement. We will approach this precious element through the body and dance improvisations in as many different ways as its manifestations. The workshop is open to people of all generations and different levels of previous experience.
