SaalFrei 2026: Sonosphere
- Location:
- FITZ Das Theater animierter Formen, Eberhardstr. 61, 70173 Stuttgart
Concert + Interaction
"Sonosphere" is a digital instrument, an immersive environment and a creative platform for dance, electronic music, visuals and generative AI. As an instrument, it reacts to body movements and modulates sounds in space. As an environment, it generates music and images in real time based on human or AI-controlled impulses.
The evening is divided into two parts: First, Aaron Bühler interprets a composition by Daniel Bisig and Ephraim Wegner. This involves manipulating parameters that control an artificial dancer as well as audio and images. In the second part, Alexandra Mahnke interacts with the AI system. Both performers influence each other: the dancer plays the instrument through movement, while the system control changes its behavior live.
Dance: Alexandra Mahnke | Interpretation / Improvisation: Aaron Bühler | Audiovisual Composition: Daniel Bisig, Ephraim Wegner | Programming: Daniel Bisig, Ephraim Wegner, Aaron Bühler
The SaalFrei platform offers space for interdisciplinary rehearsals, intensive creative processes, the exploration of compositional rules and forms of communication between the arts and with the audience. SaalFrei was founded in 2018 by members of the Produktionszentrum Tanz und Performance and has had its artistic home here since its inception.
