Sacre 4.0

Location:
FITZ Das Theater animierter Formen, Eberhardstr. 61, 70173 Stuttgart

Live music, dance and digital imagery for adults and children aged 14 and over

One year before Europe perished in the bloodbath of the First World War, Igor Stravinsky created "Le sacre du printemps" (The Sacrifice of Spring), a musical masterpiece of painful intensity. The plot: a young girl is sacrificed to the god of spring. The sacrifice is complete when the girl, dancing to the point of exhaustion, collapses dead.

"Sacre 4.0" transposes this theme into the present. A dancer dives into a digital world, into the 'network of possibilities'. Real movement and virtual space intermingle and interpenetrate. The dancer creates a digital self, an avatar, with which she enters into a dangerous game in front of everyone.

The piano version for four hands will be played, set by the composer and interpreted by Yseult Jost and Domingos Costa. Visual worlds by video-on-stage artist Lieve Vanderschaeve.
After "ALICE lost in cyberland", "Sacre 4.0" is the second piece in the current triology LOST | SACRIFIED | REPLACED by MEINHARDT & KRAUSS.
