With SANCTUS DOMINUS TAURUS (SDT), Laura Oppenhäuser takes a radical step: instead of being alone on stage, she invites a bunch of "real" men to the theater. Found on dating platforms, in fitness and martial arts studios and at suburban train stations, artisans, trainees and wedding DJs meet a 40-year-old, heterosexual, dating-savvy woman whose life is heavily influenced by men.

What follows is not a classic role play, but a controlled derailment. There is no script, no fixed roles, no certainties. The patriarchal power structure is shaken, the alpha loses control - and this is precisely the core of the work. Boundaries are negotiated, expectations collide, attributions crumble.

Here, where people meet who would never have met outside this stage, a music-driven performance of trades is created: there is hammering, singing, drumming, smoking and stinking.
