Seth Lakeman is one of the trailblazing pioneers of the flourishing British folk scene. Hailed by The Times as a "new folk hero", Lakeman has already won two BBC Folk Awards and was nominated for the Mercury Prize in 2005. His album "Poor Man's Heaven" (2008) made it into the UK Top Ten and sold over 100,000 units, which is an immense success for a folk album. The multi-instrumentalist has succeeded in bringing traditional English folk music into the mainstream with his energetic shows and various chart hits, paving the way for bands such as Mumford & Sons.

His previous tours and albums have also been very well received in Germany: "Exquisite band - excellently attuned to each other", praised the Tagesspiegel newspaper Seth Lakeman and his band. Stern magazine even named his UK top 20 success "Hearts & Minds" album of the week.

At the beginning of 2017, Seth Lakeman is finally coming back on tour in Europe, not only with his hits from previous years, but also with brand new songs from the 'Ballads of The Broken Few' album, which he recorded together with the successful producer Ethan Johns and supported by a female trio, the Wildwood Kins. Once again, Seth Lakeman knows how to surprise and convince in his endeavor to expand the boundaries of folk music.
