Being Jewish in Germany
What does it mean to be Jewish in Germany today? When people talk about Jewish life in Germany, it is mainly in relation to the Shoah. In her book, Laura Cazés presents twelve Jewish authors who talk about themselves in very personal essays, not without anger, but also not without hope. Cazés deals with the diversity of Jewish lifeworlds in Germany and their perception and inclusion in social discourse spaces.
Laura Cazés studied psychology and social management and is head of communications and digitalization at the Central Welfare Office of Jews in Germany. She is also a regular presenter and podcast host. As a publicist and speaker, she deals with the diversity of Jewish lifeworlds in Germany and their perception and inclusion in social discourse spaces. In 2022, she edited the anthology "Sicher sind wir nicht geblieben - Jüdischsein in Deutschland", which was published by S. Fischer.
