Lukas is 15 and lives in the Gropiusstadt high-rise housing estate in Berlin's Neukölln district. He is relaxed about the fact that security won't let him into his problem school in the morning because he can't show his student ID. He makes an appointment with his friend, but he also calls in the boastful Julius, who, in Lukas' experience, magically attracts trouble. Lukas reluctantly walks with the two of them through the park where the dealers sell their drugs, Julius can't keep his mouth shut and Lukas is beaten up. When his widowed, job-seeking father sees his badly battered face, he says as usual: "The wiser gives in". And that is just the beginning of a wild ride through the harsh reality of a group of young people searching for their identity in Neukölln.
