In the 4th Spazierweg concert, the Delios Gambenconsort performs together with Uwe W. Schlottermüller (recitation) in the Petruskirche in Obertürkheim. Texts and music from the Renaissance and early Baroque.

The great age of the viola da gamba coincided with an era of upheaval and contrasts: What is it like to live between war and the longing for a peaceful life? Between raging epidemics and the longing for conviviality? Between political instability and the desire for beauty and a harmonious pastime?

With music and original texts, the Delios Consort illuminates this exciting time and encounters composers such as John Dowland and William Brade as well as chroniclers such as the famous diarist Samuel Pepys.
