Graduate Gala of the Berlin State Artists' School

"Splendid" - that means overwhelming, glamorous, radiant.

The title for the show of this year's graduates could hardly be more fitting, as this is exactly how the artists want to present themselves here at the Friedrichsbau Varieté. Some of them have trained for nine years at the Staatliche Artistenschule to be able to show how much skill, passion and personality they have in their art with impressive technique, bold ideas and passionate commitment. Each number tells of years of intensive training and the desire to touch, surprise and inspire the audience.

This year's class also impresses with remarkable dance and movement skills. Between the artistic highlights, modern and classical dance sequences combine the individual numbers to create a flowing, radiant overall experience.

A show that celebrates the 70th anniversary of the State Artistic School in a worthy manner, in which young talents bring their brightest "Splendid" to the stage.

This year, Sammy Tavalis is responsible for the direction for the first time. In addition to his work as a director, he has been at home on the variety stages in German-speaking countries for several decades as a presenter, comedian and musician.
