- Location:
- Parkanlage Villa Berg, Parkanlage Villa Berg, 70190 Stuttgart
- Date
- August 30, 2025, 8:00 PM
On four Saturday evenings in late summer 2025, the Villa Berg park will be transformed into an open-air cinema with short films on celluloid. The "16mm Freiluftkino" series is presented by the Haus für Film und Medien planning team.
Four summer evenings, four cinematic themes - analog, outdoors and freely accessible: the 16mm open-air cinema invites you on a special journey back in time to the analog age of school, educational and cultural films. Rare short films will be shown on original 16mm film, as they used to be shown in classrooms, youth centers or workrooms - in proper style with a projector, picnic blanket and record music.
The series will be presented by Andreas Vogel (Montagegruppe), who will also provide musical accompaniment to the program.
The cinematic focus on 30.08.:
"Stadt, Land, Fluss" - films about Stuttgart and the surrounding area
Some call it home, for others it is simply the area where they live and work. Whether they grew up there or moved here - a quarter of the entire population of Baden-Württemberg lives here. Stuttgart and its surroundings have been documented on film time and again for various reasons: to present the state capital from above, to sing the praises of the beauty of Reutlingen or to illustrate the economic power of the region. In the mirror of the past, viewers have the opportunity to compare the places of the past with those of today.
Free admission - please bring picnic blankets and baskets!
Note: In case of rain, the event will have to be canceled.
An event organized by Planungsstabs Haus für Film und Medien Stuttgart, in cooperation with Villa Berg, Wand 5 / Filmwinter and Montagegruppe.
