PRESS RELEASE

STEVE HACKETT

Steve Hackett brings Genesis' Greatest Hits and his solo highlights back to Germany in 2026!

Cologne, 23.09.2025 - After his successful 2025 tour, Steve Hackett will not miss the opportunity to thrill his fans with his incredible guitar riffs for another year, this time he has brought Genesis' Greatest Hits as well as his solo[1]highlights. Hackett is also delighted to introduce two new members of his band: Swedish keyboard virtuoso Lalle Larsson, who replaces long-time band member Roger King, and Felix Lehrmann, the German drummer who takes over from Craig Blundell. With the Best of Genesis & Solo Gems 2026 Tour, Hackett will be making stops in some of Germany's most beautiful halls in May 2026: Hamburg (21.05., Laeiszhalle), Aachen (22.05., Eurogress), Cologne (24.05., Philharmonie), Stuttgart (26.05. Liederhalle Beethovensaal), Frankfurt (27.05., Alte Oper) and Leipzig (28.05., Haus Auensee) are on the program. Tickets are available from Wednesday, 24.09.2025, 10:00 am at CTS Eventim Presale, the official pre-sale starts on Friday, 26.09.2025 at 10:00 am at all authorized advance booking offices.

"The most important thing is to focus on the music that drives everything, but there will be some big changes in the band," says Hackett. "Both Craig and Roger are great musicians, and I know Lalle Larsson and Felix will be just as fantastic. I've never worked with Lalle Larsson before, but he's absolutely brilliant and more than qualified for the task of bringing Genesis back to life from 1971 to 1977. He is an absolute virtuoso. We've worked with Felix Lehrmann before, and when you hear him with Jonas Reingold on bass, it's like a thousand iron girders coming at you at 100 miles an hour!"

Larsson and Lehrmann will take their place in Hackett's touring band alongside Jonas Reingold (bass, backing vocals), Nad Sylvan (vocals) and Rob Townsend (saxophone, flutes, additional keyboards). "I have some exceptional musicians in the band," adds Hackett, "and I'm very pleased with this level of virtuosity. These guys are all incredible professionals."

Steve Hackett's innovative guitar playing was an integral part of the classic Genesis catalog from Nursery Cryme (1971) to Wind And Wuthering (1977). For many die-hard fans, as well as the new generations just discovering these seminal gems, this remains the most important Genesis era. "I'm still in love with the idea of the music," says Hackett. "I love it more than anything. I get goosebumps every time and the music and has kept me young enough to keep touring with enthusiasm!"
