A project about hope - and about who can afford it.
STOP BEING POOR uses money as an artistic tool for social change. Studio Julian Hetzel takes cultural funding and gives 15,000 euros - the equivalent of a basic income in Germany - to one person, paid out over a year.
Anyone who wants to take part will take part in a public interview (June 11-13 and 16-19) with a jury of homeless people. These alternative experts will select a daily winner. Seven people will go through to the Grand Final on June 21, where it will be announced who will win the 15,000 euros.
