Sebastian Kunz, versatilely trained in singing, violin as well as choral and orchestral conducting, has directed the CIS boys' choir since 2022 and the Stuttgarter Liederkranz e.V., which also includes the chamber choir stuttgart vokal, since 2023. Inspired by the idea of combining motets on "love, light and consolation" in one program, the young conductor combines Melchior Franck's setting of the Song of Songs (love) with Uģi's Prauliņš Gloria (light) and juxtaposes the sound world of Schütz with the contemporary perspective of Arnesen (*1980) and Runestad (*1986) on the theme of consolation. With Monteverdi, he reminds us that the stars shine for all people.
