Frankie and Freddie Lehmann, two brothers from Bremen, in West Berlin, in 1980. While one has been trying to get a foothold in Kreuzberg for weeks, the other wants to move on to New York—but first had to stay at the “test subject hotel” on the Kudamm and serve as a guinea pig for antidepressants. Now, one day before Christmas Eve, he’s afraid of people, can no longer ride the subway, and loses an important bag.
