Authentic music from the heart of Transylvania

The legendary Szászcsávás Band is finally coming to Stuttgart! For decades, the band from the small Transylvanian village of Szászcsávás (Romanian: Ceuaş) has been one of the most important representatives of traditional Hungarian folk music. With incomparable virtuosity, raw energy and deeply rooted musicality, they bring the sounds of their homeland to the stage - powerful, authentic and absolutely captivating. The musicians combine spirited dances, soulful melodies and ancient playing styles to create a concert that gets right under your skin. Whether fast Csárdás rhythms, melancholic songs or spirited violin dialogues: the Szászcsávás Band shows what real village music can be - lively, unaffected and full of soul.
The band members are:
István Jámbor (violin), Mátyás Csányi (double bass), Ferenc Mezei (viola), Ferenc Jámbor (viola), Levente Mezei (violin), Sándor Csányi (violin)
