An immersive music-dance performance about the paradox of silence.
Music and dance meet silence.
The impetus for the new production tacet_ by choreographer
is the collective freezing that has gripped us in the face of the current global crises. It seems to contradict the breathless pace of an accelerated society to which we have become so accustomed. The word "tacet" is used in musical notation and means "silence" for the instrument or the singing voice. Four dancers and a cellist embark on a journey in search of inner peace and interpersonal connection in a noisy, increasingly dystopian world.
But can communication succeed in silence? What physical resonance does silence have?
