The association "Thekenperlen '99 e.V." is holding its annual general meeting this year in the theater instead of the usual corner pub. The tiny association with just two members is urgently looking for new members to help save a cultural asset: The Sol-Ei!
Once a fixture on every pub counter and affectionately dubbed the "counter pearl", the Sol-Ei can look back on a long and eventful career. It accompanied many Dionysian evenings, was used for cultural and political exchange, strengthened community, witnessed intoxication and joy, friendship and loneliness, hope and sorrow.

The Sol Egg has a lot to tell!

Let yourself be inspired by the "counter pearls" and their eventful history. Let yourself be whisked away to a "theater within the theater of the theater" and encounter bizarre characters and objects. With texts from Borchert to Zille, music from Tom Waits to Billy Joel and including an exclusive "sol-egg cooking studio".
