Mannheim trumpeter Thomas Siffling has been one of the most prominent voices in jazz in Germany for many years. With his new project, he is now opening a fresh, but at the same time deeply rooted chapter - elegant, reduced, emotional, comprehensible and full of groove. The focus is on clear melodies, harmonic reduction and an atmospheric sound, subtly enriched by electronic nuances. Siffling uses this freedom to impressively showcase his qualities as an emotional and lyrical trumpeter.
Inspired by the Scandinavian jazz aesthetics of the Esbjörn Svensson Trio (EST) and the lyrical clarity of Miles Davis, the focus is on reduction to the essentials: beautiful themes, plenty of room for emotion and a fine electronic touch that makes the sound modern but never overloaded.

Siffling is accompanied by a top-class trio featuring Frankfurt drummer Oli Rubow, Düsseldorf pianist Sebastian Gahler and Mannheim bassist Tobias Schmitt.
