ATTENTION, dear parents: At 17:00 "Jazz for Children" will be visited by SWR-Kulturfernsehen! Please read the explicit information on filming and photography before purchasing your ticket:

As part of the "Jazz for Children" event on Sunday, May 17, film and photo recordings will be made on behalf of SWR Kultur. These may be published on television, in online media and in other publications of SWR and the BIX Jazzclub.
By purchasing a ticket and entering the event rooms, you agree that you and any accompanying persons (including children) may be recorded in the context of such recordings and that these recordings may be used without restriction in terms of time, space and content, without this giving rise to a claim for remuneration.

If you do not wish to have yourself or your children recorded, we recommend that you attend the event at 2 p.m., where no filming is planned.

On Sunday, May 17, 2026, a special experience awaits music lovers young and old at the BIX Jazzclub: "Jazz for Children" - a rousing jazz concert for children aged three and up and their families.
Under the direction of Prof. Mini Schulz from the newly founded ensemble "Die coolen Katzen" from the Stuttgart University of Music and Performing Arts (HMDK), young visitors can immerse themselves in the world of jazz - without any prior knowledge.

From rousing swing rhythms to joyful snapping along, a lively atmosphere is created at BIX. While the children sit right at the front, they experience a jazz band interpreting various jazz styles and children's song classics. Whether dancing ducks or grooving sailors - the imaginative performances not only get the children in the mood, but also their adult companions.

"Jazz for Children" combines fun, music and movement to create an experience for all the senses. With their creative and playful approach to sounds and rhythms, the HMDK jazz quartet encourages children to make their own musical discoveries - far beyond the concert itself.

The event, which is aimed at children aged 3 and over as well as their siblings, parents, grandparents and friends, starts at 17:00 and lasts an enjoyable hour.
